LOL at your long way around
just do notepad exe, open reboot.xml
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>
<PendingTransaction Version="3.1">
<POQ>
<DeleteKeyValue path="\Registry\Machine\COMPONENTS" name="PendingRequired"/>
</POQ>
</PendingTransaction>
copy that out and drop it into your pending.xml
few restarts done by sp1 and the computer will revert to previous settings, walla your in windows again. have a good day
